Depending on the property location, you may be closer to either <strong>Tsurumi Station<\/strong> (JR Keihin Tohoku Line) or <strong>Kikuna Station<\/strong> (Tokyu Toyoko Line).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Both stations offer direct access to the major hub station Yokohama, and being express stops also boast very reasonable travel times into Tokyo\u2014this makes the area an attractive option for expats who are seeking a short commute into Yokohama while also being keen on regular weekend and\/or evening trips to Tokyo. \u00a0(The JR Keihin Tohoku Line offers rapid service Shinagawa\/Tokyo\/Ueno stations on the east side, while the Tokyu Toyoko Line takes as little as 20 minutes to reach major western hub Shibuya and provides through-service to Shinjuku\/Ikebukuro.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tokyo-apartments.jp\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2018\/11\/kawasaki01-e1542681978432.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-856 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/tokyo-apartments.jp\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2018\/11\/kawasaki01-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>\n<h3><strong>Kawasaki<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Located northwest of Tsurumi and even closer to Tokyo is Kawasaki, which ranks 8<sup>th<\/sup> in Japan\u2019s most populated cities and contains many industrial conglomerates. \u00a0A large urban city in its own right, <strong>JR Kawasaki Station<\/strong> is massive with two connecting shopping malls and several other major retailers (Yodobashi Camera, Tokyu Hands) nearby.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Also of potential interest to Western expats is the Costco warehouse located in the east side of town, which stocks various American products (including large cuts of meat) that are often difficult to obtain elsewhere in Japan.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tokyo-apartments.jp\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2018\/11\/stairs02.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-860 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/tokyo-apartments.jp\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2018\/11\/stairs02-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"371\" height=\"495\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>\n<h3><strong> Effectively Selecting Your New Home Neighborhood Part 1: Location &amp;
